[Paris]: Les Bibliophiles de l’Union française, [1956]. — Folio, 437 x 328: (3 leaves, first blank), 84 pp., (5 leaves, last two blank), illustrated cover. Loose sheets, in the publisher’s slipcase and folder. A very fine edition, illustrated by the painter André MASSON (1896–1987), featuring ten colour etchings and aquatints, including one identical design on both covers and nine full-page illustrations, as well as nine aquatints, one on the title page and eight on the section headings. Strictly limited edition of 116 copies, printed on ‘Auvergne’ paper from the Moulin Richard de Bas, signed by Jean Paulhan, André Masson and the president of the company in the colophon. This copy, bearing the number 65, was specially printed for Fédia Julia. A very well-preserved copy. Slight transfer marks on a few engravings.
