Paris, Veuve Savoye, 1775. 2 vol. in-4° of iv, [4], 916 pp. ; [4], 918, [2] pp. frontispiece and 35 copper engravings, one of which folding, in hors-texte, and 35 woodcuts in the text. Marbled fawn calf, spine with 5 raised bands, t.p. in red morocco, tom. p. in green morocco, double gilt fillet on the edges, red edges (period binding). A good edition of this famous encyclopaedia on agriculture and rural economics, which also deals with hunting and falconry, horses, beekeeping, gastronomy with its culinary recipes, veterinary medicine, pharmacopoeia, etc. (Binding). Pp. 467 to 470 of vol. II are torn and badly missing; pp. 253 and 621 of vol. II are torn but not missing. Some rare rings, small defects to the binding.
