A collection of over 30 photographic prints relating to the life of Guy Jacquet, including portraits of him in his daily life with those around him, theatrical portraits and others. Sizes ranging from 9 x 9 cm to 30 x 23 cm Signs of handling Note: Guy Yves JACQUET, born in Azay-le-Rideau on 17 October 1931 and died in Paris on 9 January 1991, was a theatre director, a learned actor and a great enthusiast of Arab culture. As part of three exhibitions: ‘Popular Imagery in the Islamic World’; ‘The Arab Sky’ in collaboration with Hassan Massoudy; and ‘The 99 Miniatures of Al Wassity’; the works from the Jacquet collection offered for sale today are the final testament to a passion he nurtured throughout his life.
