Twelve wood-engraved compositions by Grasset printed in colour in chromotypography on in-4 card boards with, for each illustration, the 3 states on Japon, Chine and before the letter. Perfectly bound in-4 in full midnight blue morocco, boards with linear cold decoration forming squares and a mosaic of roses in the centre, spine with 5 nerves, counterspreads framed in midnight blue morocco with rosette and gold fillet. Head gilt, cover preserved, case (binding by René Kieffer). One of the finest and rarest works by this great Swiss art nouveau painter.
