RESTIF DE LA BRETONNE (Nicolas-Edme). *Mes Inscripcions*. Diary (1780–1787). Published from the autograph manuscript held at the Bibliothèque de l’Arsenal, with a preface, notes and index by Paul Cottin. Paris, Plon, 1889, in-12, red percaline, decorated spine (publisher’s binding). Collection (Bibliothèque Elzévirienne). Posthumous first edition. A copy belonging to Paul Lacombe, bearing his bookplate. Enclosed is an autograph letter from P. Cottin on the Bibliothèque de l’Arsenal letterhead addressed to Paul Lacombe (?), 2 pp., concerning Restif’s books and other publications. Also included is another short note from Paul Cottin addressed to the same person, requesting research into a now-lost private mansion.
