First edition on publishing paper (only 30 copies were printed on Whatman paper) This copy is enhanced by an autograph letter signed by Henri Massis, addressed to Charles Péguy on the letterhead of the newspaper *L’Opinion*, concerning *Ève*: ‘You are the greatest poet we have had since Hugo.’ The envelope is enclosed; both are mounted on a tab at the top of the book. The endpapers are detached.
