Paris, Ambroise Dupont, 1839, 2 volumes in-8 (207 x 128 mm.), half-creme calf, plain spine, gilt fillets, gilt roulette at top and bottom, blind-stamped fleurons, bookplate at the bottom, modern box (contemporary binding). First edition printed on heavy vellum. Without the blank leaf at the end of Volume 1 and the catalogue leaf in Volume 2, as is almost always the case. Jockey Club copy with the full-length bookplate on both volumes and the ex-libris. A fine copy in a very pristine contemporary binding.
