BARBIZIER: *Almanach populaire comtois*. Besançon, Imprimerie de l’Est, 1947–1963. Set of 17 booklets bound into 4 volumes, in-4° (a very complete collection of the first series). Full red morocco binding, plain spine with title gilded lengthwise, covers decorated with a stencilled nativity scene figure within a morocco frame, highlighted with a blind-stamped border, endpapers drawn and stencilled in colour with the same figure, all edges gilt, original illustrated covers preserved (A. Pierre). A superb copy in a remarkable binding by Alain Pierre. Bruno Monnier bookplate.
