Description
Papal Bull of Pope Innocent XI: Innocent, Bishop, servant of the servants of God, to his beloved son, the Archbishop of Besançon, greetings and apostolic blessing. The Pope grants a dispensation from consanguinity in the third and fourth spiritual degrees to Pierre Hyppolite du Moulin de Vaux and Anne Nicolette de Saint-Moris. Rome, the 7th of the Ides of March, 1687. A handwritten parchment sheet (32 x 23 cm) written in Latin, in brown ink (perfectly legible) over 15 lines, bearing its lead seal on hemp cords, numerous signatures and initials. The seal was stamped on a small lead disc bearing the effigy of Innocent XI. Innocent XI, born Benedetto Odescalchi in Como in 1611, died in 1689, and was Pope from 1676 to 1689.
