Six bound volumes in three in-8° volumes, comprising XVI–1,464 pp. (continuous pagination), with numerous illustrations within the text. Contemporary half-calf binding, plain spine decorated with the coat of arms of the city of Besançon, gilt head, covers preserved [Burkhardt, bookbinder in Besançon]. Copy enhanced with a facsimile leaflet by G. Coindre, ‘Maisons Israélites’, six leaflets by Maxime Druhen and an order form. Autograph dedication by the author: ‘To the dear poet Bataille, my own poetry’.
