By Loys Gollut, Doctor of Laws, barrister at the Parliament of Dole, in the Franche-Comté of Burgundy. Dole, Antoine Dominique, 1589. Very small in-12, 442-(4) pp. + (1) blank folio. Soft full vellum binding with flaps of the period, ribbed spine, traces of lacing (endpapers replaced, upper corner of the back cover restored, water stains on the first few leaves). A very rare first edition in its original vellum binding. See d’Aligny, p. 459, and Perrod 1018/2. Louis Gollut, born in Pesmes in 1555, died in Dole in 1595.
