Mont-Sainte-Marie Malpas-Saint-Point: Large hand-drawn map from 1744. Geometric map of a wooded district belonging to the Abbey of Mont-Sainte-Marie, drawn up in the wake of a dispute between Sir Jean Claude Boisot, the founding abbot of the said abbey, and the communities of Malpas and Saint-Point (Doubs), signed by Jacquin and Legros. Fold-out map measuring 44 x 59 cm, in brown ink, with colour highlights. Mont-Sainte-Marie Abbey is situated in the valley of the lakes of Saint-Point and Remoray, on the banks of the River Doubs, in what is now the commune of Labergement-Sainte-Marie.
