French Revolution: Set of 34 posters from the French Revolution – Franche-Comté (late 18th century). A rare and significant collection of 34 large folio-sized placards, housed in a modern protective box with laces, printed and dated from the revolutionary period, most of which originate from local authorities in the Doubs department and, more broadly, from Franche-Comté. These official documents (laws, proclamations, decrees, public notices, extracts from deliberations, assignats, military warrants, etc.) illustrate the establishment of new institutions across the region. Printed on laid paper, they feature late 18th-century typography, with large headings and a simple layout designed for public reading. Some placards show signs of creases and marginal wear, with some restoration work.
