THIERRY (Jean): *Definitiones philosophicae quarum est frequentior in scholis usus*. Paris, Gaspardus Meturas, 1650, second edition. In-24, (8)-306-(1) pp. Handwritten endpapers and flyleaves from the period, difficult to read. Full contemporary calfskin, decorated raised spine, double fillet on the covers (binding rubbed). Jean Thierry, the abbot, Doctor of Theology and blind professor, born in Pin (Haute-Saône) towards the end of the 16th century, died in 1660. The first edition, printed in Pin by Jean Vernier in 1634, of which only one copy is known to exist, was sold at the auction of the Bruno Monnier library in 1989.
