Omnia emblemata. Paris, Jean Richer, s.d. [1601]. Large volume in-8, granite calf, spine decorated, red speckled edges (17th century binding).
New edition of this famous collection of emblems, decorated with a title-frontispiece with a medallion portrait of the author, and around 200 woodcuts in the text. (Landwehr, Romanic, no. 90.)
Repeated handwritten bookplate: Jacobus Daufresne 1709. Ex-libris doctor P.-A. Créhange.
Hole with loss of a few letters on leaf D1, a few leaves trimmed with occasional damage to running title and pagination number. Leaves Nn2 and Nn7 shorter. The figure in the engraving on p. 913, partly engraved, has been finished in pen. The headpieces are missing.
