Lux Evangelica sub velum sacrorum emblematum. Antwerp, Jan Cnobbar's widow and heirs, 1651. In-4, marbled basane, gilt fillet, ornate spine, red title page, red speckled edges (Binding of the period).
Second edition, illustrated with a handsome allegorical title engraved on copper by Snijders and 52 emblems engraved by Jan van Meurs. (Landwehr, Low Countries, n°155. - Praz, p. 327.)

The frontispiece is doubled at the head, the first dedication leaf is cut but not missing, there are small holes and wormholes in the margins of sections Cc-Kk; leaf Nnn3, re-embossed, is torn with a loss of text. Posterior title-piece, scuffing on the boards, damaged head-pieces.
