Institutionum libri IIII. Lyon, Antoine Vincent, 1568. In-8, cold-stamped saddle-skin, filleting and roulette with allegorical portraits forming a rectangular panel, portrait of Lucretia stabbing herself on the first board and personified allegory of Justice on the second, initials IIW and date 1569 stamped on the first board, clasps, title in ink on the side edge (Binding of the period).
Lyon edition, with commentary by the jurisconsult Accursius (13th century).
Interesting stamped binding, dated and complete with clasps.
Handwritten ex-libris on the title. Some underlining and old annotations in pen.
Restored tear on title, small repair to leaves Kk8 and Mm8 with loss of some letters, inner margin of title and last leaf partly stuck to endpapers. Some wetness. Lining and endpapers renewed.
