103 full-page figures engraved in intaglio, one of them signed A. Clouzier. Edition reduced to in-12 format after the original in-folio by Pierre Daret (1646). Contains the same emblems, most of which are copies of the figures in Otto van Veen's Emblemata Horatiana (1607 or 1612). The work was commissioned by Mazarin for the education of the young Louis XIV.
