The title alludes to the troubles of the civil wars which continued despite the coronation of the king in 1594. The frontispiece by Léonard Gaultier depicts Apollo and the nine Muses. Includes 392 pieces including 210 new ones by Bertaut, Agrippa d'Aubigné, Des Yveteaux, Rapin, Malherbe, Laugier de Porchères, etc.
