FRÈRE I, 462. First collective edition of the periodical La Muse Normande, dedicated to the Duc de Longueville. It was associated with the annual Palinods event. As at its origin, it is divided into 28 parts dated from 1621 to 1652 and is a sort of gazette written in Norman patois, but with textual differences. ''An invaluable collection for those wishing to learn about the customs and spirit of the people of Rouen and the main events that took place in Rouen in the first half of the 17th century''. This copy has the particularity of containing in addition (paginated 1 to 31) with a starting title: Les Adieux de la Muse Normande aux Palinots. This part is missing from most editions. The Palinodic competition was discontinued in 1654 due to a lack of funding. Bookplate of Frédéric Lachèvre.
