L'ELITE DES POESIES (SIC) - heroiques et gaillardes de ce temps. Augmented by several manuscripts not yet seen. (à la sphère). Printed this year, 1695. Pet. in-12, 120 pp. bradel burgundy half-marble (C. HONNELAÎTRE).
LACHÈVRE III, 93. GAY II, 85. This collection, containing 108 pieces, follows that of 1683. Among the longest pieces are: L'Occasion perdue recouvrée by Lachèvre (II, 278), said to be by Benech de Cantenac (c. 1606-1691), described as a ''pièce fort libre'' and long attributed to Corneille - La Métamorphose des yeux de Philis en astres by Rotrou - Le Temple de la Mort, by Philippe Habert. It includes verses by Benserade, Boileau, Corneille, Furetière, La Fontaine, Racan, Mathurin Régnier, Richelet, Sarasin, Scarron and Théophile de Viau, but all appeared in earlier collections.
