ROCHEBILIÈRE 198. ROCHAMBEAU 617, n° 39. TCH III, 898 (All Didot). Edition shared between several booksellers: Didot, Nyon, Cl. Robustel, Vve Pissot, Barbou, Huart and Chaubert. Portrait of La Fontaine engraved by J.-B. Scotin, after Rigaud. This edition contains all the works, both prose and verse, that it had been possible to assemble, with the exception of the Contes and the Fables. It is largely original, as its publisher Lancelot had access to La Fontaine's family papers. In the tables, the publisher has indicated the new pieces with a double asterisk.
