Claude de Mons, born in Amiens in 1591, Councillor to the Presidial of Amiens, was a poet and author of Chants oraculeux and Chastes merveilles d'amour. This is a singular book in which the author took pleasure in anagrammatising the names of famous people, which he accompanies with stanzas in Latin or French. (V.
