Au Dézert (Genève), Imprimé aux dépens de l'auteur (Pierre Aubert), 1630. in-12, (6) ff, 308 pp, small repair in the margins of the last leaf without lack of text, trimmed a little short at the head, midnight blue half-marble with corners, spine with ornamented naves.
TCH I, 176. LEVER 84. Third edition of the complete first edition printed in Geneva by Pierre Aubert in 1630, increased by a fourth book (V. De Backer n°592). The printer was arrested and fined one hundred escus. The author was publicly reprimanded. This edition, the only truly complete one, was used by Mérimée for his 1854 reprint. Contains anecdotes about various events that occurred during the reigns of Henri III, Henri IV and Louis XIII.
