TCH. IV, 669. First edition. Vignette on the title, 2 very curious engravings included in the pagination illustrating Macrini Parasitogrammatici Hmepa and Vita Gargilii Mamurrae parasitopaedagogi. In the second, in the middle of a kitchen, is Pierre de Montmaur, a royal professor of Greek and a freeloader famous for the sarcasm he heaped on literary figures. This collection includes : Poésies Françaises by Ménage, La Pompe funèbre de Voiture by Sarasin and a Dissertation sur les sonnets pour la Belle Matineuse dedicated to M. Conrart. These sonnets, composed in the setting of the Hôtel de Rambouillet and the fruit of the rivalry between Voiture and Malleville, gave rise to passionate discussions.
