N. contenant ce qui s'est passé de plus particulier en France pendant la Guerre de Paris, jusqu'à la prison du Cardinal de Retz, arrivée en 1652. Avec les différents caractères des Personnes qui ont eu part en cette guerre. Cologne (Paris), 1709. SHF 802. This princess, who, according to Saint-Simon, "had infinite wit", left an account of the most eventful period of her life. She has reproduced, with a very light touch and in a very polished style, the special impressions that the Fronde had made on her. Mme de Longueville, the Cardinal de Retz, the Dukes of Beaufort and La Rochefoucauld are treated very badly. But she does so with such grace and wit that one wonders if these portraits are not closer to reality than those that most of the Frondeurs have drawn of themselves. Publ. by Mlle M.-J. L'Heritier.
