TCH V, 182. First edition. Ex. which seems to be on large paper. Portrait of Perrault engraved by Edelinck. Frontispiece engraved by Edelinck after Bonnet and 103 intaglio portraits by Edelinck, Duflos, R. Nanteuil, J. Lubin, Simonneau, etc. The lives of Arnauld and Pascal deleted by the censor were replaced by those of Thomassin and Du Cange, but reinstated at the end of volume I. Bookplate of the Maison de Saint-Lazare in Paris (18th century). This house hospitalised lepers and young people of bad conduct.
