DE BACKER 751. First edition. In 1660 Somaize had published under the same title a dictionary of 96 pp. which was merely a lexicon of expressions used in the alleyways. This work constitutes the repertory of the precious ones themselves. Stamp of the famous bibliophile Charles de Baschi, Marquis d'Aubais (1686-1777), some of whose books were part of the Méjannes library in Aix-en-Provence.
