In-12, engraved title, (2) ff. 101 pp. yellowed paper, contemporary marbled fawn calf, spine ribbed and ornamented, headpieces restored, hinges partly cracked. GAY II, 820. MMF 51.18. The author is none other than the editor of the famous collection of Latin classics. La Fillon was a well-known matchmaker in Paris during the Regency period. She had a hand in the discovery of the conspiracy against the Regent by the Spanish ambassador, Cellamare, which increased her fame.''
