In-8, (1) f., 302 pp, (1) f., an intaglio fig. depicting Gorsas in the company of a donkey with this exergue:''Le plus âne des trois n'est pas celui qu'on pense'', green half-marble, spine ribbed and decorated.
First edition. He founded a house of education in Versailles, and devoted himself to poetry, unfortunately to the satirical genre: he made enemies in all classes of society. In 1788, he was imprisoned in Bicêtre on suspicion of corrupting the morals of his pupils. A journalist and member of the Convention, he was guillotined in 1793 after denouncing revolutionary fanaticism.
