Second edition by Abbé Goujet with historical and critical notes. First published in 1656-57, 2 vol. in-folio. An important source for the history of scholarly libertinage and the literary society of the time. The abbé de Marolles frequented the Dupuys, welcomed Théophile, Costar, Saint-Amant, Sorbière. He himself dyed an academy where he showed great indulgence for "strong minds" (v. Pintard, 278-279).
