[ANONYMOUS]. Cléon, or The Perfect Confidant. Paris, Claude Barbin, 1666. In-12, marbled brown calfskin, gilt fillet binding, gilt coat of arms on the covers, decorated spine, red edges (contemporary binding). Title page, 162 pp., 1 folio of privileges. First edition printed in December 1665. The author of this short novel has not been identified.  A copy bearing the coat of arms of the Marquise de Pompadour. It appears in the Catalogue of the Marquise de Pompadour’s Books, 1765, page 194, no. 1565. Olivier pl. 2399, plate 5.
