Description
[AULNOY (Countess of)]. The Earl of Warwick. New, revised and corrected edition.  Paris, Compagnie des Libraires, 1729. 2 volumes in-12, brown calfskin, gilt fillet binding, coat of arms on the covers, decorated spines, marbled edges (contemporary binding). This novel was first published by the same publisher in 1703. It is the last work by the author, who died in 1705. The printing licence for this new edition was granted to François Didot in 1723.  A copy bearing the coat of arms of the Marquise de Pompadour. It is listed in the Catalogue of the Marquise de Pompadour’s Books, 1765, page 217, no. 1831.
