[BAUDOT de JUILLY (Nicolas)]. History of the Constable of Bourbon. Amsterdam, A. Braakman, 1696. In-16, red morocco, framed with a triple gilt rule, decorated spine, gilt edges, gilt interior lace (Devauchelle). 209 pp. (including frontispiece and ornate title page printed in red and black). Extremely rare first edition of a narrative which would later appear in an expanded 328-page version under the title *Histoire secrette du Connestable de Bourbon*. This edition, like the expanded version, was published in various places (The Hague, Lyon, Amsterdam), all bearing the same date of 1686.  Lever mentions the second version, which is missing from all the French bibliographies and libraries consulted: Conlon Prélude, Barbier, Lever, the BNF, etc. A fine copy.
