Osmonts, 1678. 2 volumes in one in-12 volume, havana morocco, gilt fillet binding, decorated spine, gilt interior lace, gilt edges (Hardy-Mennil). 8 unnumbered folios, 246 pp. – 1 f., title page, 108 pp., 1 f. of privileges. First edition of this novel dedicated to the Duchess of Bracciano. Barbier attributes the work to Pierre d’Ortigue de Vaumorière; others to Madame de Villedieu. The edition was shared by Claude Barbin, who obtained a joint printing licence for half the print run with Charles Osmonts. A fine copy in a delicate Hardy binding. Lever, p. 256.
