In-12, fawn calfskin, framed with a triple gilt border, gilt coat of arms in the centre, decorated spine, speckled edges (18th-century binding). 8 unnumbered folios, 516 pp.  First edition dedicated to the Dukes Georges and Louis of Silesia, Lignitz and Brieg. A chivalric novel ‘which shall teach no other philosophy than that of Love and the propriety of the world’ (Preface). A copy bound with the coat of arms and pieces of armour of Marie-Sophie-Émilie Colbert, Marquise de Seignelay, Duchess of Montmorency-Luxembourg (1712–1747).
