Collected from the most excellent and serious authors, and arranged alphabetically. Rouen, Jacques Cailloué, 1625. In-12, ivory vellum (contemporary binding). 12 unnumbered folios, 546 pages, 1 unnumbered folio, 2 blank folios.  Bound together with: *La Suitte des Marguerites françoises, or Second Treasury of Eloquence*. Rouen, J. Cailloué, undated. 7 unnumbered folios, 248 pp., 1 blank folio. A collection of compliments and phrases arranged for conversation, in the style that Mademoiselle de Scudéry brought into fashion and which Molière ridiculed in *Les Précieuses*. An edition that was shared between the booksellers Auber and Cailloué and which can be found at either of their addresses. A copy in contemporary vellum. This is the copy belonging to Louis Morin, Desrues’s bibliographer, bearing an ex-libris. In the 17th century, it belonged to a lady (perhaps a ‘Précieuse’?) named Adriana Brabers Gerost, with a handwritten ex-libris on the title page. Described by Morin.
