(including the engraved frontispiece and title page), 531 pp. (1 p.) – 8 ff. (including the title page with vignette), 610 pp. – 9 ff. (including the title page with vignette), 547 pp. (1 p.) – Engraved frontispiece, , 8 ff., 607 pp. – Engraved frontispiece, 5 ff. (of 6, the printed title page is missing), 549 pp., (1 p.).  First collected edition of the plays by Alexandre Hardy (c. 1570–1632), resident playwright of the ‘Comédiens du Roi’, a travelling theatre company that performed in the provinces and in Paris, at the Hôtel de Bourgogne. The introductory pages contain poems addressed to Hardy by various Latin and French poets, including his friend Théophile de Viau, Tristan Lhermite and Jean Baudouin. The collection contains 33 plays (tragedies, tragicomedy, pastoral plays and dramatic poems). From the O’Reilly libraries (Le Havre), with bookplates; and Jean Meyer (1914–2003), the famous actor and director, with bookplates (1996, III, no. 19).
