Small 12mo, brown morocco, Du Seuil-style frame, decorated spine, blue morocco endpapers and linings, gilt edges (19th-century binding). First edition of Renoult’s translation of *Vita di donna Olimpia Maldachini*, a satirical work by G. Leti, published under the pseudonym ‘Abbé Gualdi’ in Amsterdam in 1666. These are the scandalous adventures of a courtesan at the Vatican under Pope Innocent X.
