Description
NERVÈZE (Antoine de). *Les Amours diverses*, divided into seven stories. Revised and expanded. Lyon, Barthelemy Ancelin, 1612. In-12, ivory vellum with flaps, double blind-stamped border (contemporary binding). 392 numbered folios, plus 1 folio of table of contents and privilege. The stories in this collection had been published separately between 1598 and 1602. The first collected edition was published in 1606 in Paris by T. du Bray, followed by an expanded Lyon edition published by Thibaud Ancelin in 1608; this edition, published by Barthélémy Ancelin, is an exact reproduction of that. Although advertised as an expanded edition, this edition contains 9 stories, just like the first Paris edition of 1606.  Merland and Parguez. Lyon, vol. I, p. 56, no. 45 – Lever, p. 58, which cites only the 1608 Lyon edition.
