The Hague, Abraham Arondeus, 1685. 2 volumes in one small in-12 volume, havana morocco, gilt fillet binding, ribbed spine with gilt decoration, gilt interior lace, gilt edges (Hardy-Mennil). Frontispiece, 218 pp. – 269 pp., (2 pp. of tables). A new edition published one year after the original Paris edition. The second volume contains the history of the Duke of Alba, which includes the conversation on the poets of the sixteenth century.  A fine copy from the library of Gustave Mouravit (1938, I, no. 487), bearing his stamp on the title page and a handwritten note on the endpaper: ‘These two lovely little volumes bound together are extremely rare.
