In-12, red morocco, central gilt motif, ribbed spine with panels decorated with arabesques, gilt interior edging, gilt edges (Thomas, Lyon 1863). 12 ff., 239 pp. First illustrated edition of this collection of short stories dedicated to the Duchess of Maine. The original edition dates from 1722, according to Gay. This edition is adorned with a frontispiece and four separate illustrations. Cohen cites only a 1733 edition.
