Paris, Charles Le Clerc, 1737–1738. 8 volumes in-12, brown calfskin, decorated spines, red edges (contemporary binding). The first 6 volumes are dedicated to the King; the last two to the Countess of Verrue. Portrait of King Louis XV and 22 separate illustrations, most unsigned, some signed ‘Scotin’. Short stories in the style of Marguerite de Navarre’s short stories.
