First collected edition of Antoine Houdar de La Motte’s plays, including four essays on the plays *Les Machabées*, *Romulus*, *Inès* and *Œdipe*, which take up almost the entire first volume.  A fine copy bound with the coat of arms of Louis Hyacinthe Boyer de Cremilles (1700–1728).
