Contains: Memoirs and Anecdotes, Eclogues to Various Persons, *Love Cured by Time* (a tragedy), *Account of the Imaginary Isle* and *History of the Princess of Paphlagonia*. From the library of General Mouton, Count of Lobau, with bookplates. Georges Mouton (Phalsbourg, 1770 – Paris, 1838) was a general of the Empire who distinguished himself at Jena, Friedland and during the Russian campaign. ‘My Mouton is a lion,’ Napoleon is said to have remarked of him.  Set of 4 volumes.
