VIGUIER (Pierre-François). Elements of the Turkish Language, or Analytical Tables of Everyday Turkish, with Explanatory Notes. Constantinople, printed by the French Palace Press, March 1790. In-4, paperback, plain cover with calligraphic title, half-vellum slipcase with modern edging. XXII pp., 462 pp., 1 f. errata.  First edition, printed in Constantinople at the press founded in 1787 in Pera by the Count of Choiseul-Gouffier, ambassador to the Ottoman Sublime Porte. This is the fourth book to emerge from these presses, and the first in French. The work concludes with a French–Turkish glossary. The cover is damaged, with the spine almost completely missing. The title page is slightly soiled. On the title page, there is a stamp from a religious congregation of missionaries. Chahine, 5025.
