CIRCOURT (Albert de). History of the Mudejar Moors and the Moriscos, or the Arabs of Spain under Christian rule. Paris, Dentu, 1846. 3 volumes in-8, red shagreen, blind-stamped, coat of arms in green mosaic on the covers, gilt interior edging, gilt edges (Micolci). First edition. The introduction is a concise account of the history of the Mozarabs, Spanish Christians under Muslim rule (pp. 1–68 of Volume 1).  A fine copy bearing the coat of arms of the Count of Chambord, Henri V of France, Duke of Bordeaux (born 1820), whose library was acquired by the English booksellers Maggs Bros.  Seal of Jaime de Bourbon, ‘Duke of Madrid’, Carlist pretender to the Spanish throne and Legitimist pretender to the French throne (1870–1931). It also bears the bookplates of Jean-Claude da Rocha Carneiro and Paul Lebaudy.
