Texts by Honoré de Balzac, Théophile Gautier, Jules Janin, Victor Hugo, Alfred de Musset, Gérard de Nerval, George Sand, Stendhal, Eugène Sue, Hector Malot, Alphonse Karr, Mme de Girardin, Charles Nodier, Frédéric Soulié, etc.  Definitive edition, considerably expanded upon the single-volume editions of 1846, 1850 and 1853.
