In-16, covers fitted with plates of tortoiseshell or a material imitating tortoiseshell, secured with silver rivets, clasps in the same material, spine in purple velvet adorned with a chiselled silver plate in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, silver reinforcements at the cap ends, lined and endpapers in pink silk, edges gilt. Preserved in a black shagreen box with cold-embossed decoration (contemporary binding). A fine missal, richly illustrated with black headbands, initials and tailpieces within the text, a frontispiece and five colour plates with gold highlights. In an elegant, unsigned binding of natural or synthetic tortoiseshell. The movable part of the clasp, which is clearly present, is detached due to the absence of a pin; there are very minor imperfections on one cover.
