VOÏART (Élise). *La Femme ou les six Amours*. Paris, Ambr. Dupont, 1828. 6 volumes in-12, pink calfskin, framed with gilt fillets and blind-stamped garlands, blind-stamped diamond pattern in the centre of the covers, ribbed spine decorated with fillets, gilt roulettes, titles and volume numbers, fillets and fleurons in blind stamping, interior lace and guilloché motifs on the gilded edges and caps, gilded edges (contemporary binding). Second edition; a first edition was published by the same publisher in 1827. 6 frontispieces after Devéria. This book won the Montoyon Prize for Mme Voïart in 1828. Born Marie-Elisabeth Petitpain (1786–1866), she was the mother of Mme Tastu.  A fine copy in a luxurious Romantic binding, with scattered foxing. Asse. Les petits Romantiques. p. 245.
